Stamping party hats for New Year's Eve was a blast! This was my first time making party hats, and it was simpler than I thought it would be. I used left over holiday ribbon to make it festive and matched the ink pads colors to ribbon.
Felicette rubber stamps (star, heart, bunting, yay banner)
Downloadable party hat template Click here to download.
Heavy paper (like poster board or cardstock)
Adhesive giftwrap ribbon
Ribbon for the ties
Cut out the party hat template with scissors, lay it on your poster board and carefully cut out the hat with an X-acto knife. You can also trace it with a pencil and then cut it out with scissors. Be sure to use the knife to cut out the slit for the flap to fit into.
Break out the stamps, because this is the really fun part! Decorate your hats as you see fit with fun colors and and all kinds of stamps.
Once you have finished stamping the front turn the hat over and stick on your gift wrap ribbon pushing it all towards the top.
Roll your party hat up inserting the flap into the slot you cut with the knife. Staple the bottom to hold it closed.
Make a small X on each side of the hat with your x-acto knife.
Push the ribbon through each hole and tie a knot to hold it.
Tie your hat on and you are all ready to party all the way into 2016!
I just wanted to thank everyone for making 2015 a fantastic year for me and Felicette! I appreciate all of your love and support and can't wait to show you what I have planned for 2016.
Happy New Year my friends!
